2008-09
Training:
Thursday 6.30-7.30pm Waddesdon School all-weather pitch
So far:
Special thanks to Pete Rosling for refereeing our home games, as well as the help from David, Pete (again) and Richard for helping out with training sessions. And of course not forgetting the great bunch of parents for their continued support. I hope you all enjoyed last season as much as I did.
This season so far. It's a whole new ball game, going from 7-a-side to 11-a-side. larger pitch, full size goal and the off-side rule! The boys have had three great games, end to end football with lots of goals, unfortunately we lost our first two games 5- 4 and 4-3, however we did get our first win last Saturday 4- 2. Let hope we can keep this up.
2007-08
All the boys should be very proud of their achievements this season. They learned to play as a team, playing some outstanding football in both league and friendly games. We spent most of the season in the top three, and although we did slip to fourth at one point we came back strongly. With one game in hand we were joint top, needing to draw or win our last game. It turned into a nail biter which in the second half we finally won 2-0 to finish top of the league.
(Now I know how Ferguson and Avram Grant felt towards the end of the season).
League Games
Played 20, Won 14, drew 4, lost 2, Goals for 68, goals against 18.
Friendly Games
Played 19, Won 14, drew 1, lost 4, Goals for 47, goals against 17.
Well done ALL of you, I'm very proud of you and who knows what we can do next season. All the best!
