GRFC: U8

2009-10

Phil Bateman (known to us as 'Will') is the man in charge of the U8s. Training and home matches take place on Saturday mornings at Grendon Village Park.

GRFC U8 Visit to Wembley - 14th Nov 2009 Phil - and Carol Scanlon - also organised a trip for the U8s to watch England U21 v Portugal U21. On a wet and windy day the very successful England U21 team narrowly defeated a very skilful Portuguese team 1-0 and are now well-placed to qualify for the Euro 2011 Championships.

Any parents interested in getting their child involved or offering to help the guys should contact Phil/Will at: will@grendonrangers.co.uk.

Please note: this team will be suitable for children aged under 8 on 31st August 2009. A minimum level of concentration and ability is expected in order for all children to enjoy their time. The team will concentrate on the basic football skills and progress to friendly matches against local teams. We encourage parents to stay with their children at this age.
